UNICAL student reveals how Akpabio plans to shut down Gistloversblog

A social media user has alleged that some students from the Mass Communication department of the University of Calabar (UNICAL) have been contracted to report the popular blog, Gistlover, and its associated social media accounts.
The anonymous user claimed that the students were paid to report the blog’s Instagram page following its recent allegations against Senate President Godswill Akpabio and his wife.
Expressing willingness to provide evidence, the whistleblower shared a message detailing the situation: “Hi, good afternoon. Students from the Mass Communication department, University of Calabar, are currently working on reporting your page until it gets banned.
A recently cleared student—or should I say a graduate—of the department is paying students to do this because of the news you just released about Godswill Akpabio. I suspect foul play. As a student aspiring to become a journalist, I cannot let this stand.
If they succeed in their plan, please expose them with everything you have! I have receipts to prove my claims. Injustice must not be covered up any longer.
Please keep my identity hidden. My family’s safety is my priority. Have a blessed day.”
Gistlover, a faceless but widely followed social media blog, recently claimed it was set to uncover details about Senate President Akpabio’s rise to power. The blog also alleged that Akpabio and his wife had been involved in criminal activities, including murder.
