Unemployed Workers Will Earn Income Under NDC – Mahama Promises

John Mahama of NDC fame has assured Ghanaians that should the party come into power, workers who lose their jobs will earn money from the national pension scheme till they get employed.

According to him, the next NDC administration will amend the National Pension Act to allow workers who lose their jobs earn paid stipends while they search for a new job.

The former president, however, noted that only workers have contributed to SSNIT for ten years and beyond will benefit.

“In any event where you lose income or lose employment and you are not getting an income, you can be paid something small from your income until you find a job again,” Mahama said at a campaign tour in the Savanah region on Monday, November 30, 2020.
