Sheffield United plot last-minute move for Daniel Amartey

English Premier League newcomers Sheffield United are planning a last minute swoop for Leicester City star Daniel Amartey.

According to Football Insider, the 24 year old has emerged as a top priority for Blades boss Chris Wilder.

The manager is reportedly looking for a defensive-minded midfielder who can also operate in the back line, and Amartey fits the bill.

With less than a week to the close of the transfer window in England, Sheffield face an almost impossible task of convincing the Foxes to sell their prized assert especially with the imminent departure of Harry Maguire to Manchester United.

Money, as you’d expect, is the major sticking point in getting a transfer over the line.

Amartey is under contract at the King Power Stadium until 2022, after signing a new deal in December.
