Ofcom has fined Pastor Chris Oyakhilome over harmful sermon on COVID-19 and the 5G network.

A financial penalty of £125,000 has been imposed on Loveworld Limited after a program broadcasted on its religious service Loveworld Television Network featured inaccurate and potentially harmful claims about the COVID-19 with no protection for viewers.

The Office of Communications, commonly known as Ofcom, is the government-approved regulatory and competition authority for the broadcasting, telecommunications and postal industries of the United Kingdom.

Ofcom after it investigations found out that a 29 hours program ‘Global Day of Prayer’ spread misinformation about COVID-19 that it’s a “planned” event created by the “deep state” for nefarious purposes.

Other claims on the program made viewers believed that the COVID-19 vaccine is a “sinister” means of administering “nanochips” to control and harm people.

On the same program, there were claims that  “fraudulent”  testing had been carried out to deceive the masses about the existence of the virus and the scale of the pandemic whiles linking  the cause of Covid-19  to the roll out of 5G technology.

Ofcom says debate about government’s response to the pandemic is welcomed but “the inaccurate and potentially harmful claims made during this program were unsupported by any factual evidence  and  went  entirely  without  challenge.
