Akumaa Mama Zimbi loses mother

Media personality Akumaa Mama Zimbi has announced the passing of her mother, Mrs. Agnes Mamle Dongotey.

On April 9, 2025, Mama Zimbi shared the heartbreaking news in an Instagram post, describing her late mother as a “pillar of strength, love, and wisdom” whose influence touched the lives of many.

“Rest Well, Mother. With deep sorrow and heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Mrs. Agnes Mamle Dongotey a.k.a Grandma. A pillar of strength, love, and wisdom, Mum touched the lives of many with her kindness, warmth, and unwavering support.

“Though she may be gone from our sight, her spirit and love will forever remain in our hearts. Rest well, Mum. Your journey here may have ended, but your legacy lives on. We love you always and forever,” she shared.

Following the announcement on her social media page, the ‘Odo Ahomaso’ show host and her family have received an outpouring of condolences from many, including prominent figures in the media and entertainment industry.

Personalities such as Dr. Pounds, Nana Romeo, Stacy Amoateng, Vicky Zugah, Ohemaa Woyeje, among others, have shared heartfelt messages and comforting words under her post, expressing their sympathy and support during this difficult time.
