Two rescued as boat capsizes in Eko Atlantic ocean

According to reports, the incidence occurred at 9:12 a.m. on Friday, 11th October 2023.

Margaret Adeseye, Director of the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, stated that the agency dispatched the Oba Oniru Fire Station of the Lagos State Fire to rescue the victims.

The fire department worked with other state emergency responders and a private Boat Catheriner crew to successfully save the victims’ lives.

According to reports, the survivors, Sanu Dewan, 20, and Seraphin Meto, 40, were on their way from Makoko to Ebute-Meta when the disaster occurred.

Adeseye said, “Both victims are being attended to by appropriate government responders and in stable conditions.”
