Two Nigerian suspects knocked down by car after stealing GH¢50K

A daring daylight robbery in Tafo, a suburb of Kumasi in the Ashanti Region, took an unexpected turn when two suspected thieves were knocked down by a saloon car while attempting to escape on a motorbike a stolen 50,000 Ghana cedis

According to eyewitnesses, the suspects, believed to be Nigerians, trailed a vehicle from a local bank, waited for the driver to park, and then swiftly entered the car to steal money

However, their getaway plan was foiled when a saloon car suddenly appeared and struck the motorbike, sending the thieves into a nearby gutter.

They revealed that some Enraged youth in the area pounced on the suspects, subjecting them to severe beatings.

The thieves were left battered and bruised in the gutter until police intervened, saving them from further harm.

The suspects are currently in police custody, assisting with investigations.

Eyewitnesses praised the timely intervention of the police, preventing further violence and ensuring justice is served.

The incident serves as a cautionary tale for would-be thieves in the region, reminding them that crime doesn’t pay.

Police are urging anyone with information on the suspects or similar crimes to come forward and assist with investigations.
