Two dead, several others injured in accident at Nangode

Two people have been reported dead with others injured after an accident at Nangode in the Nabdam district of the Upper East region.

The accident occurred in the early hours of Friday.

The bus they were travelling in crashed and overturned after the driver allegedly handed over the steering wheel to his mate.

Unfortunately, the mate lost control after the bus hit a speed ramp, causing it to overturn.

A passenger, Emmanuel Adam Iddrisu told Accra-based Citi News that, the bus was travelling from Kumasi.

“We loaded at Kumasi at Adehyeman near Kejetia and we were going to Garu. The driver applied the brake, lost balance and the car hit the bridge,” he narrated.
