INEC, shame on you – Davido calls out Mahmood Yakubu

Singer Davido has taken to social media to call out the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) following the ongoing governorship election in Edo State.

In a post on his X page, Davido expressed his disappointment with INEC and the electoral process. Davido wrote, “Bruh @inecnigeria fix up we can’t continue like this .. wtf”

His comment comes after the police reportedly arrested some supporters of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who were accused of vote buying at some polling units.

The “Stand Strong” singer also explained his interest in the Edo State election stating that his late mother is from Edo State. “My mom is from Edo for those wondering why I’m interested in the election … but we as Nigerians should be concerned sha .. @inecnigeria shame on you I know how many times I had to come in here and rant before they got it right in Osun ! It’s really bad. God help us.”

Davido has earlier used his platform to campaign for the PDP candidate, Asue Ighodalo. He also urged residents in Edo to support him by voting for Ighodalo.
