Video+Photos: DJ Switch to support A.M.E. Zion School in Cape Coast with desks

Young Ghanaian disc jockey, DJ Switch has promised to provide Brofoyaw A.M.E. Zion School in Cape Coast desks and other items to aid their education.

According to her, she came across a report online about the school pleading with the government to come to their aid and she felt obliged to help.

Touched by their plea, the young star decided to use her DJ Switch Foundation, a non-governmental organisation, to come to their aid.

“I came here to access the school and to know what you need. I know you need desks, pens, books among other things but I came to see for myself so I would know what to do for you through my foundation,” she told them.

A.M.E. Zion is a school located in Cape Coast with 2,323 students and has inadequate classrooms. A class for about 48 students has less than 10 desks with each desk taking about five students.

The Information and Communication Technology rooms available were totally empty with no computers available for students.

This information was posted on Instagram by blogger zionfelixdotcom, who accompanied her to the school.

On his Instagram page, he disclosed that:

“The headmistress of Brofoyaw A.M.E. Zion School in Cape Coast months back DM me asking for school desk. I posted her need on my page and @djswitchghana called ready to support.”
