Trainee nurse abducted and raped by ex-fiancé

A trainee nurse on clinical attachment at the Greenshield Hospital in Sefwi Bekwai in Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai District was on Saturday June 8, 2019 abducted and sexually abused by her ex-boyfriend.

According to the police who confirmed the incident to MyNewsGh.com, the 21-year-old second year Nursing Student of KAAF University in Kasoa was on her way home after duty when the incident happened.

According to relations who lodged an official complaint with the police, they tried calling her on phone but she picked and from the background, she was heard crying raising their suspicion that something was amiss.

Moments later, the phone was switched off further making them feel apprehensive.

On Sunday June 9, 2019 police visited the family house of victim (name withheld) and met her with her family.

She had a swollen face and told police that when she closed from work at the Greenshield Hospital and was about to return home she received a call from her former boyfriend identified as one Frederick Kwame Acquah, 26 who wanted to meet her at Sefwi Atronsu.

In her account, she met with suspect Frederick Kwame Acquah at Atronsu and he took her to Justice Guest House where he assaulted her mercilessly and took her phone from her thereafter forcibly had several bouts sexual intercourse with her.

That the suspect currently on the run, detained her against her will until Sunday dawn when she was released to go.

A medical report form has been issued to the victim to attend hospital and report back for the next line of action while police have mounted a search for suspect Frederick Kwame.
