To say NPP has delivered in 2 years is pure hallucination – Mohammed Abass

Political Science lecturer at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Mr. Mohammed Abass has asked the New Patriotic Party (NPP) not to tickle itself as it will be abnormal for one to conclude it has delivered on its promises within two years in office.

The Public Administration expert in asking Ghanaians to give the NPP the benefit of the doubt in the remaining two years ahead posited that, it will be a mere hallucination if anyone goes about singing the government’s praises on its governance delivery as there is little to be merry about in terms of its achievements in office so far.

Mr. Abass exclaimed that it will be impossible for the Akufo-Addo led the government to deliver on all its manifesto promises and it is important that Ghanaians appreciate that fact from now.

‘Manifesto promises are a mere competition of ideas and the one whose ideas are more convincing and superior eventually ends up winning power and forming the government. But it is one thing being in power, and another thing campaigning for votes. Politicians will say all sorts of things to get the votes, so let’s not tickle ourselves that the NPP will be able to deliver on all the campaign promises they made.

“In fact, we will be hallucinating if we think so’. He stated on a Kumasi-based Fm station talk show in an interview with Dr. Otchere Addai-Mensah monitored by MyNewsGh.com

Meanwhile, President Akufo-Addo speaking at a ceremony at Sedom in the Asuogyaman District of the Eastern Region where he inspected the removal of timber from Volta Lake by Kete Karachi Timber Recovery Limited (KKTR) under the One District, One Factory (1D1F) policy at the weekend, reiterated his commitment to fulfilling all his campaign promises before his four-year tenure ends to shame his naysayers.

The President ingeminated that, none of his manifesto promises will be left unfulfilled by the time his tenure ends as he continues to perfect the already fulfilled ones.

“The 1D1F is what we are all seeing over here. Before my tenure comes to an end in 2020, you will all realize the good things I did for this great nation. I didn’t come to tell lies. I will fulfill all my promises before my tenure ends with regard to the 1D1F, 1V1D and so forth.” He stated to a cheering crowd
