Three injured after trailer overturns on Asukawkaw Mountain

A trailer truck overturned on the Asukawkaw Mountain in the Oti Region, injuring three people in the early hours of Friday.

The accident involved a truck with registration numbers 3676 BG on the front and 5472 AW on the back, causing a temporary disruption to traffic.

Eyewitnesses reported that the truck lost control while descending the mountain, veering off the road before overturning.

The impact left three occupants injured, with one trapped in the wreckage.

Residents and bystanders rescued two victims, while personnel from the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) extricated the third.

The injured individuals were handed over to the Ghana Ambulance Service and transported to the Worawora Government Hospital for medical attention.
