This is what happened when Bukom Banku and Ayittey Powers met Mahama
It was a memorable moment when two renowned Ghanaian boxers, Bukom Banku and Ayittey Powers, met the National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama, during the Youth Townhall Meeting on August 12, 2024.
The event, held at the Bukom Boxing Arena, saw the two boxers join the former president on stage, expressing their admiration for him.
Mahama was amused as the boxers engaged him humorously, entertaining the audience.
Bukom Banku showcased his boxing skills by throwing punches before briefly interacting with Mahama.
In a video shared on X, Banku said, “Brothers and sisters, who is your president for 2024? A stone in water does not fear the cold.”
Mahama then took the microphone and responded, “Money cannot be careful unless it wears a white shirt and drives a new car.”
Ayittey Powers asked in the Ga dialect, “I want to ask our father one thing. This NPP government has sold all the state’s properties. When our father comes to power, will he deal with the NPP officials? What will he do to them?”
Mahama, during his address, promised to hold corrupt NPP government officials accountable if he wins the general elections on December 7, 2024.
The Mahama Youth Townhall Meeting aimed to engage the youth on the NDC’s policies and address their questions.
