Things are bad; Ghanaians please help me bring CHANGE – Akufo-Addo
President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is urging Ghanaians to rally around his vision and help him bring the change he promised, as according to him, “what is going on in the country is not good”; MyNewsGh.com has filed.
The President who is touring Accra was speaking on at Bankuman, Tema Newtown to cut the sod for new roads in the area.
“Help me so that my vision comes to pass. We want to change Ghana because what is going on is not good, and it is my duty to bring change and development to this nation,” the president said, as quoted by our sister news outlet 3News.
There was a huge durbar to welcome him, where President Akufo-Addo used the opportunity to explain his stewardship to the people of Ghana.
said the first two years of his governance were used to lay a foundation for the development that was about to follow, adding that “before the four years end, I would come back to you to give an account of what I used my stewardship for.
He promised that the “subsequent years would be used to consolidate the progress achieved in the first two years:” of his presidency.
President Akufo-Addo cut the sod for the construction works after the durbar.
Through the Department of Urban Roads, a contract has been signed with M/s Papset Enterprise Limited for phase 1 of the project, which involves the reconstruction of some 22 kilometres of selected roads in Tema.
The project will result in improved accessibility for affected communities, and improved drainage in the Tema Light Industrial area, Ziginshore road and adjoining links, Bankuman, Tema Newtown, Manhean Abrewankor, Farm Vivian road and selected roads in Community 16.
Again, through the Department of Urban Roads, a contract has been awarded to M/s First Sky Limited for the Upgrading of selected roads in Community 12, Tema (9.81km), with completion set for twenty-four (24) months.
