Kofi Adomah Nwanwanii has sorrowfully expressed disappointment at being ignored by those who were supposed to support him during his difficult time battling his eye injury.
The Ghanaian journalist made these statements during a press conference following the recent incident where he was shot in both eyes during a festival in Dormaa, Bono Region.
In the press conference, held at his premises in Oyarifa, on March 13, 2025, Kofi Adomah bitterly lamented that the leaders in Dormaa, particularly the Sumanhene, a sub-chief, had abandoned him after the shooting.
“After the shooting incident, I called the Sumanhene to inform him that I couldn’t see with both eyes. He told me to stay positive, but despite having been to Accra to attend a vetting, he did nothing to help,” he stated.
He also expressed disappointment, stating that while he has made huge contributions to the country and touched many lives, people he had hoped would offer support during his struggles have instead ignored him.
Kofi Adomah further added that if he had died, some of these individuals would have shown him the love he was seeking.
“If I had died, some of the people I was hoping would show me love would have been at my funeral. Sometimes, it’s not all about money. At least I volunteered and have contributed to Ghana,” he stated.
