There’s no debate that you are number one – Davido congratulates Stonebwoy

Nigerian singer, Davido, has extended his congratulations to Stonebwoy for clinching the coveted ‘Artiste of the Year’ title at the 2024 Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA) ceremony.

Davido lauded Stonebwoy’s musical prowess, asserting that his status as the number one artiste in Ghana is indisputable.

This comes after the Afro-dancehall musician took to Instagram to encourage those who believe in his journey to view his triumph as a reflection of their narratives.

He described his acknowledgment as a testament to hard work and urged people to draw inspiration from it.

Stonebwoy’s post read,

“For those Who trust that my hustle is a true reflection of their own individual stories. Here is proof that you’re a winner. This reward of hard work is a true testament that inside of me lies one of the greatest talents to ever emerge out of Africa and if this makes me better than others, may they be inspired because there are others above, who inspire me too.. To God Be The Glory…BHIM to The World(sic).”

In response, Davido said, “NUMERO UNO NO DEBATE!!! ANYBODY WEY NO GREE GO GREE LAST LAST! Congrats my brother and love you and the family! ITS YOUR TIME ENJOY.”

In addition to securing the prestigious Artiste of the Year award, Stonebwoy emerged as the top recipient, claiming accolades for Songwriter of the Year, Best International Collaboration, Best Reggae/Dancehall Artiste of the Year, Record of the Year, and Album of the Year.

Mix Masta Garzy also clinched the Best Audio/Sound Engineer award for his work on Stonebwoy’s “Manodzi,” which the duo received onstage.
