The economy is looking good, don’t worry – Tinubu to Nigerians

My job is hard but

President Bola Tinubu has asked Nigerians not to worry about the county’s economy as it is looking good.

His comment comes amid a nationwide outcry over the hardship and high cost of living.

The President made this known while speaking to members of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential campaign council at the State House Banquet Hall on Wednesday, April 4, 2024.

According to him, his government are putting in place measures to tackle the inflation rate.

Tinubu described his job as a hard but he is working to ensure he delivers the hope he promised the people.

He said, “It is a hard job. You promised the people of Nigeria when you were campaigning for me for a good result. I have to work for it. No magic wand. I campaigned on hope. I have to rest on that hope, and push for that hope for the joy of every one of us.

“The economy is looking good. Don’t worry about that. We know that we have the challenge of inflation. It is okay, we will bring it down.

“We are reengineering. Our revenue is getting better and we are taking our sovereignty and respect back around the world.

“Not that we have to go there and hire them to do the job for us. We are doing it ourselves. Whatever is happening to us, we have to solve it by ourselves.

“It is your efforts, your thinking, your resourcefulness, your investments, your dedication and hard work that can only get us there.”
