The amazing moment NDC supporters cheered on Bawumia at presidential inauguration

Scores of NDC supporters cheered on immediate past Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, at the inauguration of John Dramani Mahama as President.

Bawumia, accompanied by his wife, Samira, was among dignitaries who graced the occasion this morning.

The NDC supporters, perhaps, impressed by Dr. Bawumia’s show of statesmanship since the elections, cheered on Bawumia as he made his exit from the Independence Square, following the inauguration.

Many of the supporters stretched to shake hands Bawumia, with many chanting “Honourable, Your Excellency, you do all,” in apparent reference to his post-election statesmanly conduct, which has been commended both home and abroad.

Interestingly, some of the NDC supporters, chanted to Bawumia, “You will be the next president.”

During his inaugural address, President Mahama, once again, commended Dr. Bawumia for his concession speech, which he said, helped ease tension in the country.
