‘That is my husband’ – Watch the heartwarming moment Gertrude Torkornoo showed off her husband

Chief Justice Gertrude Torkornoo embodied and displayed the qualities of a devoted and loving wife in a rare moment when she attended the final State of the Nation’s Address in Parliament with her husband on January 3, 2025.

Upon her arrival at the premises of Parliament, the media, in performing their duties, captured and took videos of Torkornoo as she entered the chamber with her husband, Francis Torkonoo, a pharmacist, and her security detail.

To show her love and support, she asked the videographer capturing her to focus on her husband as well, ensuring he received the spotlight and not allowing her moment to overshadow his.

In a video sighted by GhanaWeb, the Chief Justice requested that her husband walk alongside her and be captured walking together.

Her request elicited warm smiles from her husband, Francis Torkornoo, and others accompanying them.

Beaming with smiles and laughter, she said, “That is my husband. Can he walk with me?”.

Her gesture of love for her husband has garnered praise and compliments on social media.

Netizens have commended her for sharing the spotlight, allowing her husband to receive equal attention and not overshadowing him.

The final State of the Nation’s Address saw the attendance of government officials and notable dignitaries.
