PHOTOS: Two dead, three in critical condition in accident at Gomoa Bewadze

Two people have died in an accident at Gomoa Bewadze in the Central Region after a trailer with registration number GM 6184-14 crashed with a Hyundai H 100 minibus Friday afternoon.

Eyewitnesses say the speeding trailer made a wrong overtaking causing it to ram into the minibus destroying it beyond repairs.

In the event, two persons were run over by the long vehicle killing them instantly.

According to the Winneba Fire Officer, Mr. George Amoah due to the severity of the crash, Fire Service officers had to cut open the mangled vehicles to extricate the trapped injured persons and rush them to the Winneba Trauma and Specialist hospital where they are receiving treatment.

The bodies of the deceased have been kept in the morgue of the same facility.

Police have commenced an investigation into the accident.
