Watch how armed robbers escaped with sacks of money at Wassa Dompoase

Some armed robbers stormed the Humble Gold Buying Enterprise in Wassa Dompoase, in the Amenfi East Municipality, and fled with two sacks of moniehand gold, are reported by EDHUB.

The brazen attack is the second armed robbery in the municipality within four days, following a similar incident at Wassa Akropong.

Around 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 6, 224,, about seven armed men, wielding guns and knives, rushed into the gold buyer’s shop where three shopkeepers were present.

According to the report, which GhanaWeb is unable to independently verify, the robbers demanded the keys to the safe where money and gold were stored.

One shopkeeper, suspected of holding the keys, denied having them and was subsequently shot twice.

He is currently in critical condition at the hospital, the report added.

The other two shopkeepers also sustained injuries from gunshots and knife stabs during the struggle but are now in stable condition.

The armed men eventually retrieved the keys and made off with two sacks filled with money and gold, the report said.

New footage from the incident shows the moment when the robbers fled the scene, firing several shots as they escaped.

The police are actively searching for the suspects involved in the robbery and have launched a manhunt to bring them to justice.
