A goat nearly ‘beat’ Mahama in NDC elections – Abronye DC

member of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) is praying ceaselessly for the election of former President John Mahama as flagbearer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).

Kwame Baffoe popularly known as Abronye DC said his election will be a cool chop for President Akufo-Addo in the 2020 general elections.

Some NDC members including Members of Parliament are campaigning for the second coming of John Mahama.

They believe he has an unfinished business of accelerating Ghana development. The MPs who have collated some signatures for his endorsement said the former President has a magic wand to wrestle power from the NPP.

But some NDC members rooting for other candidates like Prof Joshua Alabi and Sylvester Mensah have vowed to ensure Mr. Mahama is not made flagbearer.

An avow critic of the former President, Ambassador Daniel Osei has warned NDC delegates not to elect “incompetent” Mahama if they really want the party to win the 2020 elections.

However, Abronye DC on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen programme Friday begged the NDC delegates not to heed to the advice of Ambassador Osei.

He said the NPP cannot afford to miss the opportunity to humiliated John Mahama for a second time after “crippling the socio-economic conditions of the country”.

The first Vice Chairman of the NPP in the Brong Ahafo region said, there is no way Mr. Mahama will defeat President Akufo-Addo in an election.

He claimed even in an internal NDC elections, a goat nearly emerged winner due to “John Mahama’s incompetence”.

Abroye DC said he will be the happiest man on earth if the NDC elects former President Mahama as flagbearer.
