C/R: Man found dead in stagnant water at Gomoa Akotsi

The dead body of an unidentified man believed to be in his late 30’s has been found in a stagnant water at Gomoa Akotsi new site in the Central Region.

The body was found Thursday, June 8, 2023 morning by a resident going to farm.

An inspection conducted on the lifeless body did not reveal any sign of physical assault or strangulation.

The Gomoa Akotsi Police was informed of the incident following which police officers went to the scene of the incident and conveyed the body to the Winneba Specialist and Trauma Hospital Mortuary.

Meanwhile, police are calling on members of the public who have a family member missing to go for identification of the body.

Police have since commenced investigation.
