We have weapons for 2024 elections – Tamale South NDC Chairman warns

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) Constituency Chairman for Tamale South in the Northern Region, Zaa Nyaya, has revealed that the party is fully prepared to confront the security agencies and the Electoral Commission (EC) in the December 7, 2024 elections.

He stated that the NDC is equipped with all the necessary tools for the election, similar to the security agencies that will be present on election day.

“This election that we will have, we won’t allow NPP even one minute to rule this country again, so we are giving the EC the signal that the police cannot protect them and so they should conduct a free and fair elections. So they have the option to do the right thing, otherwise, we are ready for whatever.

“If they want us to fight, we’re ready to fight, I swear God. I told the Police Commander that we are prepared for war from today till election day. The weapons they have I swear we also have the same so you wait during voting you will see,” Nyaya said.

The Tamale South NDC Chairman made this declaration during the NDC’s “Enough is Enough” demonstration in Tamale, where hundreds of residents took to the streets to protest against the Electoral Commission (EC) for refusing to allow a forensic audit of the voters’ register.
