Sack Gloria Akuffo OR resign – Concern Patriot calls Nana Addo

An open letter to the president of the republic, Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo

Dear Sir,
SACK GLORIA AKUFFO.
It is clearer than daylight that your Attorney General, Ms Gloria Akuffo is not living up to expectations and must be retired.
It is a well known fact that the John Mahama administration incubated hundreds of scandalous corrupt acts which should have been in court two years into your administration.
It is sad that all the major corrupt deals of Mahama and his appointees have failed to be priorities for Gloria Akuffo. She is rather chasing rainbows instead of the stars.
I have heard that your Attorney General is in talks with the double salary gang to refund the monies they criminally received. This reduced me to tears, Sir, for it sends the signal out there that politicians are the same, hence this ‘I scratch your back now, scratch my back in future’ agenda.
It would amount to preaching to the converted if I list some of the landmark corrupt acts which happened under Mahama because you are well aware of all of them.
Sir, in two years, we go to the Ghanaian people to seek their votes. They will ask us what we did to the corrupt elements in Mahama’s administration, and from the looks of things, we shall not get anything worthy to tell them, we cannot convince them that we prosecuted these people. We campaigned heavily on corruption, Sir, but we are failing to show Ghanaians that we told them the truth when we were campaigning.
Sir, sack Gloria Akuffo, for she is not fit to head that department.
It would be important, at this juncture, to remind you that when you were the Attorney General under John Agyekum Kufour, in less than two years, Kwame Peprah, Victor Salomey, Dan Agbodakpi and others were languishing in jail for crimes committed against the state.
As President, a lot more is expected of you and your Attorney General is to blame. Kindly sack her to save your administration.
In this party, we do not worship mediocrity. We cherish competence but your Attorney General has proven beyond doubt that she is not competent enough to lead this all important outfit.
Sir, Ghanaians are getting impatient because of our failure to march Mahama’s corrupt officials to court. Ghanaians are saying that you are paying lip services to the fight against corruption because of what is happening.
Mr President, many are those who see you as an emblem of incorruptibility but that noble trait is fast depreciating because of the lackadaisical attitude of the Attorney General you appointed. Your ‘I hate corruption posturing’ is fast eroding, thanks to Gloria Akuffo.
Mr President, the ship is sinking and something must be done to pilot it to safety. You are the only one who can direct the path of this ship so that it does not sink. Sir, a stormy wind is blowing and it is carrying this ship into danger.
I have high hopes in you. You have done it before. You did it when you were a subordinate, and must not fail us now that you are the leader!
Sir, my humble plea is simply this; sack Gloria Akuffo before she sacks us from power!
Thank you.
Sincerely yours,
James Kofi Aboagye,
A concerned patriot.
