W/R: Wawa tree falls on chainsaw operator Sefwi

A 45-years-old chainsaw operator, Kwame Mensah, has met his untimely death when he was crushed by a tree he was cutting.

The deceased who hails from Sefwi Bonsu Nkwanta in the Juabo District in Western Region was hired by Stephen Nusetor into his cocoa farm to fell some trees when the unfortunate incident happened.

 

“It is true that our brother has died as a result of a falling a tree; he died when the branch of the tree fell on him,” an eyewitness narrated.

Juaboso District Police Commander, DSP Isaac Kumnipa who confirmed the news said the body of the deceased has been deposited at Juaboso Government hospital mortuary.

He said the police had begun investigations into the matter.
