GNFS swift response prevents major fire disaster at Effiduase

A swift and coordinated response by the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) prevented a major fire disaster at Effiduase, near Nana Berko School in Koforidua.

The fire, which broke out in a five-unit metal container and a commercial kitchen, quickly intensified, prompting a call for backup.

The initial crew on the ground immediately began firefighting efforts, while a second team from the Suhum Fire Station arrived shortly after to support the operation.

Thanks to the prompt intervention of both teams, the fire was brought under control and eventually extinguished, preventing it from spreading to nearby shops and causing further damage.

Despite the successful containment, some personal belongings and property within the affected structures were destroyed.

Investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of the fire.
