Swansea City slap £18m price tag on star player Andre Ayew

Swansea City have slapped an £18M price tag on star man Andre Ayew in a bid to fend off a flurry of interest from clubs, Ghanasoccernet.com can exclusively report.

The Ghanaian, who spent last season at Turkish giants Fenerbahce, bagged the winner over Wigan and his situation is being monitored by other clubs.

Tottenham and Leeds United have previously been linked with Ayew, while foreign clubs would also be keen to snap up his services.

Ayew’s contract expires in 18 months and he is the club’s biggest earner by some distance.

With Ayew having recently turned 30, the Swans know this might be their last opportunity to cash in on their star player.

However, they also know his goals are key to a potential top-six finish, Ayew having bagged 10 in the Championship this season.

Ghanasoccernet understands that agents and clubs could be put off by the £18m price the Swans would demand.

Ayew has scored 12 goals in all competitions this season.
