You will lose Asawasi seat over anti-Mahama agenda- Odike to Muntaka Mubarak

Akwasi Addai Odike, the Founder and Leader of the United Front Party (UFP) has warned that the Member of Parliament (MP) for Asawasi constituency  Mohammed Muntaka Mubarak could lose his seat at the forthcoming National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary primaries because he is pursuing an ant-Mahama agenda, MyNewsGh.com has filed.

Mr Odike describes Hon Muntaka Mubarak as anti-Mahama saying he does not support former president Mahama ambition to lead the NDC party in 2020 despite the showoff in recent times.

Hon Muntaka Mubarak failed to sign the endorsement form by NDC MPs to support the candidature of former president Mahama when he announced his decision to contest as the flagbearer of the party and lead in the 2020 polls

Some executives from Asawasi constituency picked forms for former president John Dramani Mahama with sections suggesting their lawmaker was behind this move.

But Mr Odike who was speaking on Abusua Nkomo hosted by Kwame Adinkra MyNewsGh.com monitored,  said since the constituency executives have neglected Hon Muntala and have picked forms for John Mahama then the MP will not go to Parliament again and must brace himself for that.

According to Odike, Hon Muntaka Mubarak MP for Asawase failed to sign the endorsement forms by NDC MPs because he is against Mahama coming back.

“You didn’t endorse John Mahama and your constituency executives have picked forms for the person you didn’t endorse to lead the party.  I can prophesy that Muntaka will loss Asawase seat during NDC primaries. His executives will vote massively against him because he is anti-Mahama” he said.
