Sudan sacks its interior minister

The military leader of Sudan Lt Gen Abdel Fattah al-Burhan has dismissed its acting interior minister of the country Anan Hamed Mohammed Omar.

This action comes amid the continued lawlessness among Sudan’s warring factions and without reasons for the dismissal.

General Burhan has however appointed Khalid Hassan Muhyi al-Din as the new director general of the police according to BBC.com.

Rivalry military factions have been fighting for the past month and there seems to be no end in sight. This has increased the number of vices like robbery and looting as the police have been inactive in war-hit areas in Sudan.
