Viral King Promise ‘wedding’ video – All you need to know

On Tuesday, April 23, 2024, Ghanaians on social media were thrown into a frenzy over reports that afrobeat sensation King Promise had married in a private event attended by some industry players and close associates.

Backed by pictures of the artiste dressed in a elaborate traditional kente clothing alongside key entertainment players such as Sarkodie, Dancegod, Joey B and Efia Odo; the reports generated chatter with some eagerly seeking the identity of the bride and other details.

It, however, turned out that the pictures and videos are from the set of an upcoming video being shot by King Promise, GhanaWeb checks have revealed.

While several of the individuals involved had kept details of the shoot under wraps, promoting the narrative of actual marriage ceremony, a creative director known as So African, gave out the plot with an Instagram video where he revealed himself as the director of the upcoming music video.

“Hi ya’ll, we’re on set today. I am on my music director grind for my boy, King Promise. About to drop a banger; we are on set for the video shoot and you know, have some fun and work at the same time,” he stated in a selfie video shot from the set.

So African further shared videos of behind the scenes footage from the set on his handle.

Meanwhile, other pictures and videos have emerged on social media showing the supposed bride who happens to be a video vixen.
