‘Star boy is back’ – West Ham fans hail Kudus after scoring first goal of the season

Supporters of English Premier League side West Ham United have praised Ghanaian attacker, Mohammed Kudus, after he netted his first goal of the season for the club.

Some of the fans expressed their delight for the superstar, who has been struggling to find his scoring boots from the beginning of the 2024/2025 season, and believe this will propel him to score more for the team.

Others entreated the Black Stars foward, who is touted by the fans as a star boy, to continue scoring for the team to aid his progress and improve his performances.

Kudus scored for West Ham United in a 4-1 win over Ipswich Town in the English Premier League on October 5, 2024.

He headed in the ball after it bounced off the goal post, making this his first strike of the season, having struggled to find the back of the net previously.

Michail Antonio, Jarrod Bowen, and Lucas Paqueta’s goals made it four for the home side, who thumped their opponents to secure the full three points.

West Ham lie in 12th position on the league table, gaining 8 points in the eight matches they have played so far.

Meanwhile, Kudus recently had a bust-up with West Ham United coach Julen Lopetegui.

The Ghanaian forward and the Spanish coach are reported to have exchanged a few words after Kudus was hauled off in the second half of West Ham’s game against Brentford over the weekend.

According to The Athletic, the club hierarchy has informed the player’s entourage that there is no tension between Kudus and Lopetegui and that the incident has been exaggerated.
