Two security men murdered in Wa

Two private security guards were brutally murdered in Wa on June 18, 2024.

The attacks occurred at their duty posts in separate incidents at the Wa East office of the Ghana Education Service and the Wa Model Junior High School.

According to Citi FM’s Upper West regional correspondent, the incidents have caused fear among residents, who are now urging the police to enhance security in the town.

“We woke up to a situation where a security guard at the Wa Education Service was found murdered. Residents informed us that his body had a large cut on his throat and was placed on a bench.

“Just as the police arrived at the scene, another security guard at the Wa Model School was also reported killed, intensifying the fear among the community,” Latif Mahama shared with Adwoa Tenkoramaa Domena on Citi Prime News.

A total of eleven security guards have been killed in Wa in 2023 under mysterious circumstances.
