St Peter’s wins 2018 NSMQ
St. Peter’s Boys’ Senior High School has emerged winners of this year’s National Science and Maths Quiz in a keen contest befitting a grand finale.
Kissi Annoh Kwaku and Fenney Benjamin, both final-year students represented St. Peter’s in the competition.
St. Peters beat West Africa Senior Secondary School (WASS) with a point while four-time consecutive finalists, Adisadel College (ADISCO) came third after taking the lead in the first two rounds.
St. Peter’s won with 45 points, closely followed by WASS with 44 points. ADISCO came third with 39 points.
All schools failed to gain maximum points in the Problem of The Day round but WASS and St. Peter’s crawled from behind during the True or False round to overtake ADISCO after their poor form in that segment.
President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has promised to host the winners at the Jubilee House when he returns from his trip to South Africa.
