The third installation of Ghana Awards SA took place on 16 March 2019 at Atterbury Theatre, Pretoria South Africa. The night was filled with glitz, glam and red carpet fashion moments. It is already being heralded as the best diaspora awards event in South Africa.

In attendance were Ghana’s High Commissioner His Excellency Ayisi-Boateng, Ghana’s Deputy Chief of Staff Mr Frances Asenso Boakye, Ambassador Sonto Kudjoe, members of the diplomatic coups, and key business and industry leaders in both Ghana and South Africa.

Ghana Awards SA recognizes and rewards Ghanaians based in South Africa for their innovation and groundbreaking work that benefits both Ghana and South Africa.

Taking place just days after Ghana celebrated its 62nd Independence day, homage was paid to the strides the West African country has made to become the fastest-growing economy in the world for two consecutive years.

“It is important to have such high caliber events that celebrate the excellent deeds of these hardworking men and women” ~ His Excellency Ayisi Boateng, Ghana’s High Commissioner to South Africa.

Sponsors of the event included renowned companies such as Sedglo Hair and Beauty, Mama Money, Asanka Restaurant, Kwasi Technology, and Dankwah Farms to mention a few.

“We are grateful to our sponsors for investing in the sterling work of the Ghanaian community in South Africa” Ms Mavis Anim, Founder of Ghana Awards SA.
