Watch as Bawumia campaigns from behind a truck with ‘security shield’

As the nation nears the 2024 general election, the parties that will be taking part in the election have hit the ground running, canvassing for votes for their candidates across the country.

The flagbearer of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia, commenced his nationwide campaign on Monday, April 29, 2024, and not even the rains or scorching heat is stopping him from meeting the people of Ghana to share his vision for the country.

The vice president appears to be so determined to meet the people of Ghana that he is employing all means necessary to connect with the populace.

A video shared online shows him standing behind a truck with two of his security detail shielding him with clasped arms to prevent him from falling off.

In the video, Bawumia is singing and dancing behind the moving truck acknowledging cheers by supporters.

GhanaWeb checks show that the video was filmed during his activities in the North East region this week.
