‘Shut your big mouths up’ – Duncan-Williams cautions Christians over Mensa Otabil

The Founder and General Overseer of the Christian Action Faith Ministries, Archbishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams is advising Christians bashing the Founder and General Overseer of the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC), Pastor Mensa Otabil over the collapse of the Capital Bank to “shut their big mouths up.”

According to Archbishop Duncan-Williams, because Christians are under God’s constitution that forbids them to judge, they ought not to talk “too much” about the leader of ICGC, Pastor Mensa Otabil so that they too will not be judged.

“I want to caution every Christian to shut your mouths,” he said, adding, “Bible says, judge not and you may not be judged so shut your mouths.”

Similarly, Archbishop Duncan-Williams further cautioned Christians to stop talking about things they don’t understand, particularly when they don’t have details of the issues at hand.

“Stop talking about things you don’t understand,” he said, stressing “Christians you talk too much. Shut your mouths; tell somebody, shut your big mouth!”

According to the leader of Christian Action Faith Ministries, “Somebody asked me what do you think and I say I don’t think anything, I don’t understand, I don’t know the details so let the authorities handle the situation”.

Archbishop Duncan-Williams, however, said his caution was only directed at Christians and that unbelievers and others have right to talk about the issue.

“I am saying that to Christians; as for unbelievers and earthen, they have the right to talk. But for us Christians, we are under god’s constitution.”

Ghanaians respond to Otabil’s ‘God is Good’ comments from a section of the public following the collapse of the Capital Bank, which he served as Board Chairman.

In a statement early this month, Pastor Mensah Otabil said during his non-executive role as a Board Chairman of the bank, some decisions that were made turned out well while some did not turn out as well as had been anticipated.

Similarly, following social media bash of the ICGC leader, Pastor Mensah Otabil during one of his sermons admonished his congregants to say “God is good” three times to anyone who would ask them about the role he (Mensah Otabil) played in the collapse of the bank.
