Shocking as Ghanaian soil grows first ever apple tree

Published

An apple tree has been discovered in a compound situated at Wiamoase in the Ashanti Region of Ghana.

Photos and videos of the tree sprouted with beautiful green apple fruits were shared by one Facebook user called Barima Nana Osei Bonsu who visited the house to verify initial speculations.

He pleaded with authorities to put in place the necessary measures so the apple tree can be largely cultivated on the Ghanaian soil.

“So I made an earlier post of an apple tree bearing fruit in Ghana-Wiamoase. We plead with authorities to come to the aid of the family to get all the needed medicines to keep this in shape,” he wrote on Facebook.

Meanwhile, individuals residing on the same compound as the apple tree says it took five years for the tree to bear fruits after cultivation.

The encounter has somewhat wiped out claims that it is impossible for an apple tree to grow in Ghana.
