Sheikh I.C Quaye, others removed from National Hajj Board

Sheik Ibrahim Cudjoe (I.C.) Quaye has been removed as Chairman of the National Hajj Board after the president reconstituted it.

Concerned Imams and Chiefs, a group of Imams and Muslims Chiefs drawn from across the country late last year had urged President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to retain Sheikh I.C. Quaye .

They argued that he had delivered flawless and incident-free Hajj Pilgrimages to Ghanaian pilgrims since he was made Chairman.

But the reconstituted Board by the President revealed he was no longer in charge as former lawmaker for Offinso South Constituency Ben Abdallah Banda has been named as a replacement.

Other members who have been axed from the Board include Abdul Malik Adams Gariba, Kamal-Deen Abdula, Ismaela Ibrahim, Mohammed Osmanu Alidu, Braimah Adams and Dr.Mohammed Ibrahim Mohammed.

The new Board now chaired by Alhaji Ben Abdallah Banda has the following members; Habib Iddrisu, Hajia Safia Mohammed, Chief Saddique Jimala III, Sheikh Amin Bonsu, Alhaji Inusah Amadau, Osumanu Yunusah,Mohammed Ibrahim Mohammed, Seidu Zakaria Abdul Rahman Alhassan Gomda, Alhaji Musah Akambonga and Hajia Azara Haroun.
