Serie A: Okoye to undergo surgery after wrist injury

Nigerian goalkeeper Maduka Okoye will undergo surgery following a wrist injury, Udinese has confirmed.

The Super Eagles goalkeeper sustained the injury during Udinese’s Serie A clash against Genoa.

Udinese announced via the club’s official website that the 25-year-old will have to undergo surgery in the coming days.

This is unfortunate news for the player who has established himself as the number one for the Zebras since last season.

Okoye has made 14 appearances for the club in the current campaign.

Udinese will take on Monza in their next Serie A encounter later today (Monday, December 9).
