Senior High School teacher in trouble for beating student to pulp

Sulemana Kuli, a teacher at Vitin Senior High Technical School in Tamale, is in hot waters for assaulting a student over the weekend and leaving the student in a critical condition.

The community members in Tamale are up against the school’s refusal to produce the teacher to face the law.

Despite the Ghana Education Service directive to prevent teachers from executing corporal punishment in basic and senior high schools, Suleimana went against the directive and inflicted severe wounds and pain on innocent students without giving a reason for the brutality.

The student is currently battling for his life at the Tamale Teaching Hospital after the school initially let him go unattended.

There have been several calls on the GES in the Northern Region to take up the issue and produce the teacher to the Ghana Police Service before the close of work on April 25.

The story is still unfolding, and we will update you as and when.
