List of taxes Mahama intends to scrap within first 100 days in office

Flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama has assured Ghanaians that he will scrap some nuisance taxes in his first 100 days in government.

He believes that these taxes have placed a burden on the good people of Ghana and need to be scrapped to offer some form of relief to the people.

John Dramani Mahama made this strong declaration while addressing party faithful at the launch of the political party’s manifesto at Winneba in the Central Region.

He is of the view that scrapping these taxes will ease business in the country.

The taxes the former president promised to scrap include E-levy, COVID levy, 10% levy on betting, emissions levy, and import duty on vehicles and equipment imported into the country for industrial and agricultural purposes.
