Afia Schwarzenegger’s show on TV Africa suspended

Razzonline.com is reliably informed that management of TV Africa has suspended Afia Schwarzenegger’s comedy show, ‘Political Police’ on the station with immediate effect.

The ‘Political Police’ show, which is aired on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 8pm has courted series of controversies as the hostess Afia Schwarzenegger minces no words in attacking decision makers and celebrities.

According checks, TV Africa which was re-branded by the new owners a few years ago, is cash-strapped and struggling to raise the needed funds to produce its programmes thus, the decision to suspend the popular show.

Aside Afia’s show, Razzonline.com as also gathered that all on air programmes have also been suspended till further notice.

“The station is struggling to raise funds to pay salaries, it is a complete mess and I won’t be surprised if the station closes down soon,” our source said.

About two years ago, a private financial holding company, the Ideal Groupe, acquired a majority share in TV Africa after 13 years of operation from the old Kwaw Ansah’s management.

The re-branding process brought on board Ghanaian politician and journalist, Obuobia Darko Opoku, actress Nikki Samonas and Khadijat El- Alawa as morning show hosts.
