Sad! BECE candidate dies after writing four papers

Sad news reaching the desk of My News Ghana has it that a Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) candidate, Richard Mensah, writing this year’s exam,  has died at Apremdo in the Western Region.

Reports say that he died on Wednesday, September 16 2020 after writing his papers on Monday and Tuesday.

According to his grandmother who was speaking in an interview Connect FM monitored by My News Ghana, her 19-year-old grandson initially complained of a headache on Monday but managed to write four of his papers on Monday and Tuesday until it became severe.

He was rushed to the Jemima Hospital at Kwesimintsim on Wednesday but could not make it.

Richard Mensah was a final year student of the Apowa Methodist Junior High School and was a candidate writing his exam at the St. Mary’s Senior High School Examination Center.
