Why Kudus did not feature for West Ham United against Wolves – Graham Potter explains

West Ham United manager Graham Potter has clarified that an injury prevented Ghanaian attacker Mohammed Kudus from participating in their game against Wolverhampton Wanderers on April 1, 2025.
The coach indicated that the medical team’s assessment of the Black Stars forward before the game showed that he was not fit enough to play, which ruled him out.
The former Chelsea manager stated that the absence of Kudus and other injured players affected their performance in the game.
Speaking to the press after West Ham’s 1-0 defeat to Wolves at the Molineux Stadium, Potter lamented the injury situation in the team.
“It was difficult; we lost Mo [Kudus] to injury yesterday, and [Jean-Clair] Todibo as well, so we had to readjust quickly. We felt that Luis could help us with his pace if we won the ball back. We just didn’t manage to find him enough times,” he said.
Kudus continues to struggle to find his best form, having scored three goals and provided two assists in 27 matches played so far.
West Ham United lie 16th on the Premier League table with 34 points after 30 matches played.
