Russia Attack: Foreign Affairs Ministry asks stranded students in Ukraine to shelter in government homes

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has asked all Ghanaian students and other Ghanaians in Ukraine to seek shelter in their homes or in government places of shelter.

In a tweet sighted by Modern Ghana News today, the ministry stated that over one thousand Ghanaian students were stranded in Ukraine as a result of the attack on the country by Russia.

The ministry said it was gravely concerned about the safety and security of the over one thousand Ghanaians love there.

Subsequently, the ministry has said it is engaging authorities and diplomatic missions as well as an honorary consul to deliberate on further measures.

Meanwhile, airports in Ukraine have been shut leaving stranded students wondering how Ghanaian officials would evacuate them.
