REVEALED: Takoradi baby thief gave birth, but her son cannot be found (HOT AUDIO)

It has emerged that the suspect in the Takoradi Market Circle baby theft saga, Mawusi Rose Fiaku, 42, was once pregnant.

Ms Fiaku, who was pregnant for her boyfriend, Lawson Lartey, is said to have been delivered of a baby before her boyfriend traveled.

Speaking to Adom News, some residents, who live near the suspect, claimed the last time Mr Lartey saw his baby was about six months ago when the baby was four months old.

The arrest of Ms Fiaku for stealing a 12-month-old baby left residents wondering why she would do that when she had a baby of her own.

A year after Mr Lartey returned from his trip, he demanded that Ms Fiaku brings his son home.

After three days of pressure from the father, Ms Fiaku returned with a one-year-old boy much to the delight of Mr Lartey.

Unknown to him, Ms Fiaku, who is said to have been sending photos of the baby to the father, brought him a stolen baby.

“The man is a mason who always travel. The woman was sending photos of the son to the man while he was away and the man remitted her to spend on diapers etc. The man returned after a year,” the reporter said on Adom FMs ‘Dwaso Nsem‘ Wednesday.

But, the whereabouts of the baby Ms Fiaku gave birth to is still unknown.

Meanwhile, Ms Fiaku, 42, has been charged with child stealing and conspiracy to commit crime by the Western Regional Police Command.

She has since pleaded guilty to the two charges.

The Takoradi  Harbour  Circuit Court has meanwhile ordered that a pregnancy test be done to confirm claims by Ms Fiaku that she is pregnant.

Ms Fiaku on Wednesday told the court, presided over by Abena Akyem Dorku, that she was sick and had been throwing up.

The presiding judge asked if she was pregnant.

Ms Fiaku, who claimed she earlier had a miscarriage, said she was pregnant.

While the self-confessed baby thief awaits possible sentencing, her concubine, Mr Lartey has pleaded not guilty.
