IMANI boss exposes Mahama government over €165m contract in 2015
Less than a week ago, founder of the NDC Flt. Jerry John Rawlings accused top leadership of the party under the Mahama administration of creaming themselves rich on the back of a contract he initiated, planned and secured a land for in the Volta Region.
Even before that issue dies off fully, The John Mahama NDC administration stands accused again of ‘fraudulently’ over-pricing a contract to the tune of €165m ($194m) in the Volta Region.
Founding President of IMANI Africa, Franklin Cudjoe clarified that the red flags he raised yesterday on social media over yet another multi-million Euro contract overpriced to the tune of some 165 million Euros, as MyNewsGh.com reported, is not an Akufo-Addo era project, but a 2015 John Mahama administration project.
The said contract, MyNewsGh.com learnt, was executed by the NDC in 2015 while the excess of €165million is currently in private pockets of top leaders of the NDC cooling off in opposition in and out of the country, while over 1100 people lost their jobs as a result of the said contract.
Franklin Cudjoe’s earlier post inadvertently suggested that was an Akufo-Addo era contract as IMANI had been waging a ‘war’ with government over controversial Kelni GVG deal.

It seems to me many are salivating at the story of an over priced contract of 165m Euros. This was 2015 by the way. Clearly, we have become a republic of contracts, scams actually while our people wallow in abject penury. The other day I visited the Accra District and Regional Police Headquarters, I couldn’t help but conclude that the police housing looked like an abandoned refugee camp in a war zone. And yet, we can allow a few of our unkind to pillage resources with vodoo contracts so they can chop. Well, I will only tell them of this Burkinabe proverb- ”Some are eating, others are watching”. One day, it would not be the turn of the watchers to eat food alone. They will end up eating the unkind who dabble in such wickedness.
