Red-hot Osimhen sinks Mourinho’s Fenerbahçe in Turkish Cup clash

 starred as Galatasaray triumphed over José Mourinho’s Fenerbahçe side with a 2-1 victory in the Turkish Cup on Wednesday, April 2.

The 26-year-old Nigerian striker netted a brace in a heated Istanbul Derby, helping the Turkish champions overcome their fiercest rivals.

Osimhen opened the scoring in the 10th minute, converting a well-placed assist from Barış Yılmaz.

He then doubled Galatasaray’s lead from the penalty spot in the 27th minute, providing Okan Buruk’s team with a comfortable two-goal cushion.

Sebastian Szymański managed to pull one back for Fenerbahçe on the stroke of halftime.

Osimhen was subbed off in the 85th minute and was replaced by Alvaro Morata after receiving a booking.

The Nigerian international has so far registered 27 goals and five assists in 32 appearances for the Yellow and Reds this season.
